Banco Davivienda S.A. – Confinanciera S.A. Merger.
Effective from August 1st, 2012, Confinanciera S.A. C.F. merged into and was absorbed by Banco Davivienda S.A. This way, the Bank became in charge of the different business lines of the Finance Company.
Change of Name from Bancafé Panamá S.A. to Banco Davivienda (Panamá) S.A.
As a result of the projection strategy of Banco Davivienda S.A. in the region, since November 19, 2012, Banco Bancafé Panamá changed its corporate name and brand to Banco Davivienda (Panamá) S.A.
Merger of Fiduciaria Cafetera S.A. and Fiduciaria Davivienda S.A.
Effective from December 13, 2012 Fiduciaria Cafetera S.A. merged into and was absorbed by Fiduciaria Davivienda S.A. This operation was carried out to continue with the expansion of Banco Davivienda S.A.’s business and its domestic affiliates and improve its position in the market.
Negocios e Inversiones Bolívar S.A.S.
As a result of the merger and further demerger of Fiduciaria Davivienda S.A., a new Grupo Bolívar sub-holding arises called Negocios e Inversiones Bolívar S.A.S. for the investment on real and personal property.
Acquisition of HSBC’s operations in Central America by Banco Davivienda S.A.
By the end of 2012, a purchase was made on the banking and insurance operations of HSBC in Costa Rica, El Salvador and Honduras. The presence of Banco Davivienda S.A. and Seguros Bolivar in Central America was consolidated with this operation.
